Part 3 – Programming the Siemens S7-1200 PLC to Control Factory I/O
In this Siemens S7-1200 training video with FactoryI/O we continue where we left off in Part 2, allowing large boxes to exit the small loader conveyor and go onto the right conveyor.
This time we take the code a couple of steps further by:
a) modifying the program to stop the right conveyor running when it isn’t required
b) modifying the program to allow small boxes onto the left conveyor by duplicating some of the code we developed for the right conveyor and modifying it for the left conveyor.
We also introduce up/down counters as well compare and move functions to stop and start the right conveyor so that it doesn’t run when it isn’t required.
